Julyers!

Yes its August already and I must say that this entry is long overdue that I should have posted this last July, but better late than never, thank God for this hearten day that i was able to blog about this memorable day.

July, the birthday month of the 2 special people in my life (Wyrnee and Jorem). They are my friends since grade school days and I can say that they are my best friends that I will treasure for keeps. Since both of them are celebrating their birthdays on the same month (July) , the whole "barkada" were really excited on when and where the two of them were going to celebrate their birthdays. suggestions were raised and everyone agreed to dine at MESA.

Just to give you some info about Mesa.

This kind of celebration excites us, since we all love to eat, we have our own choices but agreed to order the following:

Baked tahong: It's the the group top choice. (it is the official favorite food of the "barkada".). 
The larger than the usual size of mussels and the oozing cheese made it as a top choice.

Boneless Crispy Pata: It is my 3rd time to dine here at MESA and during those visits the pata never fail to make it on the list. It is one of my personal choice and i am glad they liked it too.

Pinaputok na Pla-Pla: The variety of sauces made this dish extra ordinary.

Kare-Kare: Yummy as it looks and at the same time good enough serving

Mixed vegetables: I am so glad that my friends loves to eat vegetables, so this dish goes healthy and yummy!

I guess this entry is sort of a food blog (haha). I would like to recommend MESA if you are looking for really delicious filipino food.


Now going back, we surprised Jorem&Wyrnee by giving this luscious cake from "Fleur de Lys".

It is always a good time to spend time with your closest friends and at the same time enjoying different food that you love. I am just thankful for the lives of these 2 people (Jorem,Wyrnee and the rest of the group. for the friendship that we have and for being brothers and sisters to each other. Friendship that will endure for keeps.I love these people from the moon and back.

Enrique turns One

                         

This is one of the much awaited day miko is been waiting for, since this is the birthday celebration of his god son from his childhood best friend miguel viernes. We were so excited to see enrique for the first time since they are based in canada we thought they'll  probably celebrate it there. but we are so glad to receive an invitaion from miguel saying they are celebrating enrique's 1st birthday here in manila.

The theme of the party was thomas and friends which according to karen (miguel's wife) is enrique's favorite character.

The celebration was held at shakey's pizza place along marcos highway last July 15 2013.
Lots of  guest came and celebrated on this special for enrique and his family.

                       

As the usual children's party, parlor games where played and as you can see on the photo above  miko and i joined the "paper dance"game, where fortunately we won . Haha! (It was tough huh!)

                       

We went together with miko's brother and sister (marki&nikki). We had fun and we are so happy to see enrique and celebrate with him on his special day.

                     

He is such an adorable kid. As what i observed he really looks like his dad (miguel) which according to miko that's how miguel looks like when they were kids.

To sum it up it was a fun filled and tummy full day. Congratulations to enrique's parents for having a successful party and we pray that enrique will continue to grow up as loving,good son for his parents and to other people.

Smile :)

Recently I've been listening to this song by Uncle Kracker entitled "Smile it is one of the newly added songs on my ipad but actually it is an old song already since it was released in 2009, Maybe i was busy then that this song didn't catch my attention yet at that time. 

Every time i listen to this song it really brightens my day, it em-places me in a good mood, makes me start the day right and embrace a new day that has come.

This song is upbeat and delivers a good message.Since i love music i always make time to listen to music everyday that it gives me a therapeutic feeling. If you will try to listen to the song lyrics it delivers how one person's smile can make a difference to someone. As an example maybe someone which might be you or might be me is/are having a rough day at work,school, home etc.because of some reasons we may feel exhausted or unhappy that we want at least ease what we feel. I believe in just one smile it can make a change or difference on how we feel, it gives hope, positive outlook and a thought that there are still a lot of reasons to smile despite those shortcomings, storms coming our way. 

Smile is a gift from God, he made us with lips for us to smile that i believe has to be shared even when we are not in a right mood or in perfect weather of our lives. But a genuine smile comes from the heart, a heart full of joy and peace only we can receive from God. for he is God of peace and a God of Joy through light and darkness. God should be our greatest reason to smile each and everyday. 

I want to share these 3 things  I've noted from one of the church services I've attended, it is how and when can we experience true and lasting joy.

Here are:

a. In knowing God has purpose in each aspects of our lives

b. In believing God is sovereign over all

c. Trusting that God brings deliverance

"That in faith in Jesus Christ we can have joy even in difficult times".

This life may not be perfect, surely life storms may come but we still have reasons to smile we have our family, friends etc. but most of all GOD.So let us always carry and share those smiles God has given us and let us not forget to make God smile on each day he is giving us.

Refresh it's a new nest

This would be my first entry to what i call my newest nest. years have passed since i decided to refresh the pages of my life's journal and it took me quite sometime to have this motivated heart, mind and spirit of writing again. but i guess the calling stays that it keeps on whispering and knocking in my heart telling me "get that pen and write again".

Many things have happened since the last time i wrote something and I am just grateful for this season of being able of writing again. This will be a new nest of my life thoughts and other people's life thoughts too. It is just refreshing to start again and keep that nest to flourish with dreams, inspirations, reflections, prayers of someone's life journey that God has written and still being written. I believe with God's wisdom and grace he will be the one to fill the  pages of this life's journal as he is the author of my life and so is yours.
